Bluefield, WV  ~ "Natures Air Conditioned City"

Located in the foothills of Southern West Virginia. Bluefield is named Natures Air Conditioned city. At an elevation of 3500 ft, Bluefield recieves mountain air that normally inhibits temperatures to reach above 90* during the summer. When this occurs the city serves free lemonaid. A 50 year old tradition still alive today. Below are pictures of Bluefield.

LOCAL DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM I-77

Quick Route:

From I-77 traveling north and south bound. Take Exit 1 to Bluefield right outside East River Mountain Tunnel. Turn Right onto U.S. 52 (John Nash Blvd) go approximately 2.5 miles. Take sign marker straight to Bluefield. Merge left onto U.S. 460 West. Travel 2 miles. Go past Holiday Inn and K-Mart. Look for Washington Street Exit. Turn right onto Washington St. When you get to the red light turn right onto Cumberland Rd. Make an immediate left onto Jefferson St passed a white picket fence. Drive down the hill. When the hill becomes flat again, the house will be on the right at 2109 Jefferson St. A drive way is located beside the home which will take you to our parking lot.

Scenic Route:

If traveling north on I-77 take Exit 66 before East River Mountain Tunnel. The road will take you overtop of the mountain to East River Mountain Overlook. Once you go overtop the mountain and come down the other side, you will connect to U.S. 460 East. Take a right and .25m ahead will be Washington Street Exit on the left. When you get to the red light turn right onto Cumberland Rd. Make an immediate left onto Jefferson St passed a white picket fence. Drive down the hill. When the hill becomes flat again, the house will be on the right at 2109 Jefferson St. A drive way is located beside the home which will take you to our parking lot.

PLEASE NOTE:  Do not use MapQuest (tm) for directions to the Dian-Lee House.  The directions are inaccurate. If using GPS please make sure you enter the correct state (WV) as Bluefield is a twin city. Ignore taking Exit 9 unless stopping for a meal.

On 460 West take a right onto Washington Street Exit come to the traffic light. Turn right and then take the first left onto Jefferson Street. The Dian-Lee house is located at 2109 Jefferson Street.at 2109 Jefferson Street.
